Down But Not Out
Hello Everyone,
This is just a repost from our blog over at our Hot Sauce Bread Blog.
The Haste Kickstarter is officially over and unfortunately we did not meet our goal. While this news is hard to hear, we have had time to take a step back and figure out what went wrong.
First thing to address, Haste will still be released. If you played the demo, you know that the game is polished and fleshed out. We came to Kickstarter to realize the vision we had for Haste, but having fallen short we are now evaluating our different options for the next step.
If you're still looking to support us it is super easy. If you have Steam, just head over to the Haste page and click 'Wishlist'. If you don't have Steam, let people know who might. This is a quick and impactful way to help. If you still want to stay updated and hang out, please consider hopping onto our Discord.
If you've read our last few updates, you know that we are focusing on the feedback from backers. Reading comments isn't always the easiest thing to do, but we've been getting a lot of positive messages mixed with constructive criticisms. We are looking at ways to capitalize on these strengths and address the issues being raised. Also, we are planning on new ways to make Haste a richer experience for players and we hope that you can follow us on this journey.
The last question you may have is about the March 2022 release date. This was set as an achievable date, and if we wanted to push the game out the door we could. Since even we don't know exactly what the road map is going to be going forward, we will leave that up as a tentative date.
This campaign has shown us a lot and we are forever grateful for the people who banded together to get our project as high as it did. We recognize that you've put your faith in us and we owe it to all our backers and fans to make Haste a reality.
Gratefully,
~ Cedrick & Jacob
