Jenkins, Jemas, & Quesada with - Origin (Wolverine)
This book marked the very beginning of my love for comics. I had an issue or two of comics when I was young, but videogames had a dictatorship over my life. I was shopping around new obsessions when I decided to give comics a whirl. I downloaded Comixology and, on a whim, just happened to see Origin, I read that issue on the way to work and saw the power of storytelling that comics could give. I downloaded the rest of the series immediately using my phone data (a very rare thing for me). Origin was a collaborative project with Jemas, Quesada, and Jenkins as the writers. I completely understand, as Wolverine's past had been hinted at and built up for so long, that pulling back the veil could have had serious backlash. Instead, it was pretty universally lauded. The tragic and heartfelt origin of Wolverine was undeniably good and I have since given this book as a gift and lent it out like I'm trying to spread gospel.
