Samurai Champloo

I came onto this one pretty late.  I was introduced to it way back in the mid 2000s and always wanted to get back to it.  Thankfully I did quite recently and tore through all 26 episodes.  This series in a nutshell is a hip-hop inspired samurai anime that can range from wacky to tragic depending on the episode.  It's bursting with a unique tone and is just plain good storytelling.
