Temptations – Just My Imagination

A short and sweet post for today.  I did a quick scan over my posts and realized that I haven’t put a great oldie in for quite some time.  To remedy this, I queued up one of my absolute favourites from well before my time.

The Temptations have to be the iconic example of the golden Motown era, and is exemplified by the song  ‘Just My Imagination’.  Though ‘Just My Imagination’ might not be as catchy as ‘My Girl’ or as uplifting as ‘Lean on Me’, the song captures the feeling of unrequited love.  Soft and sweet, the lyrics show just how obsessed and dreamy you can be when you fall in love with someone.  Just My Imagination truly embodies the innocent yet powerful spirit of young romance, and I often get dreamy myself when hearing it.
