SamBakZa - There She Is!!

Back in the early days of the internet, there was no youtube or decent streaming *pause for the millennial gasping*.  It was this time that flash videos were in their prime, and the central hub was and always will be Newgrounds.  With Flash being such a new medium, the site would be flooded with immature humor and porn jpegs done by bored nerdy teenagers.  It was amateur hour, and the internet had nothing better to do but watch. 

When I saw "There She Is!!", it had rocketed up the ratings chart to the top 5 out of nowhere.  As soon as I hit play, I could tell it was different.  Taking the medium seriously, SamBakZa put time and effort into the drawings and animation that stands out among the rest.  The short tells a cute story with a sweet ending, which takes a complete left turn after seeing a sea of videos about drug dealing pokemon or hentai dress-up games.  The animation plays with the song perfectly, which helps make the cute slapstick humor innocent and fun.  At it's core, the video is about breaking social boundaries and prejudice... but really it's an adorable love story about a cat and a bunny.

SamBakZa followed the series with some other music video shorts, but this one always brings back nostalgia.
